I grew up in the deep South where football and food and especially music reign supreme. Few things had a greater impression on me as a child than the songs I listened to from the backseat of our car traveling through the Alabama countryside on the way to my grandparents' house. This music still accompanies me today in the long days in our studio. A little dark at times and full of loss and redemption, these songs above all else tell the kind of stories I'm sure you'll love.

"In the deep dark hills of eastern Kentucky
That's the place where I trace my bloodline
And it's there I read on a hillside gravestone
You will never leave Harlan alive."
