NYC Streets: Freenote Cloth x Slightly Alabama

Without a doubt, the best part of starting Slightly Alabama is all of the great friends I've made along the way. The world of independent designers is full of so many like-minded, passionate people who are designing some of the best products available. I now count many of the designers and brand owners I've met at various trade shows and industry events as some of my closest friends.

During our first trip to Pitti Uomo, we met Andrew and David from Freenote Cloth (I'd later meet Andrew's brother and co-founder Matt), and we immediately became great friends. A few months later, Andrew and I decided to put together a little street style photo shoot of he and I walking around New York in his brand's clothing. We know how important it is to develop good social media content, and also know that doing it on a shoestring budget means that sometimes you have to be your own model and get the help of your friends. So I called up my good friend Jim Hobart of Macbeth Studio and asked if he'd be willing to do the shoot the next time we were all in the city together. Of course, he agreed. Jim's always down for an opportunity to shoot. So here's a look at some of the behind the scenes images we captured that day walking around Hell's Kitchen, SoHo and the Lower East Side.
